Overview
Swap Phuket's busy beaches for Pakarang (Memory) Beach in Khao Lak, Thailand's hidden surf gem. This full-day trip is our own Signature Experience, made for anyone who loves the ocean, whether you've never stood on a board or you're chasing your next session. Your day starts early with pickup and a fresh breakfast on the way north along the coast. At the beach, our local guides match you with the right board, check the conditions and get you into the water. Beginners can add a surf lesson, and independent surfers get a guide who knows the spots. Between sessions, you can relax with lunch, fresh fruit and cold water and enjoy the slow, local side of Thai surf life. With a maximum of 9 guests, the group stays small, so there's plenty of space in the line-up and on the beach. In the evening, we take you back to Phuket, tired, salty and happy.

- Weather & season
- Rain, clouds or wind are NOT a reason for guests to cancel. Surfing happens in all weather and the normal cancellation rules apply. Only if COAST CLUB cancels the trip because of unsafe weather or surf conditions, or for operational reasons, can you reschedule or get a full refund. Every day during surf season, roughly May to November. Exact start and end depend on the waves and are confirmed by COAST CLUB each year.

- Join-in trip: English. Private group tours on request (custom price, depends on group): English, German, Thai or Russian.
- No surf lesson booked? Then you must be able to surf on your own and confidently paddle out past the breaking waves by yourself. Our guides show you the best spots, but they don't teach beginners. New to surfing? Add a surf lesson (2,500 THB per person, 2 hours).
- This trip runs with a minimum of 4 guests. When you book, your card is saved but not charged. It's only charged once the trip is confirmed to run (4 guests booked). If the trip doesn't fill up, we'll let you know 24 hours before departure and nothing is charged.
Cancellation
Free cancellation up to 48 hours before departure. Cancellations within 48 hours, same-day cancellations and no-shows are non-refundable. Bad weather is NOT a reason to cancel: the trip runs in rain or shine and the normal rules apply. Only if COAST CLUB cancels because of unsafe weather or surf conditions, or for operational reasons, can you reschedule or receive a full refund.
FAQ
I've never surfed. Can I join?
Yes, just add a 2-hour surf lesson (2,500 THB per person). Without a lesson you need to be able to surf on your own and paddle out past the waves by yourself.
What if it rains?
The trip runs rain or shine, and bad weather is not a reason to cancel. We only cancel if conditions are unsafe, and then you can reschedule or get a full refund.
What if not enough people book?
The trip needs at least 4 guests. Your card is saved and only charged once the trip runs. If it doesn't fill up, we let you know 24 hours before departure and nothing is charged.
Where do you pick us up?
At Water Lily Spa in Rawai at 06:00, or at the 7-Eleven on Route 4030 in Kamala at 06:45. Transfers from anywhere else in Phuket can be booked as an extra.
Is there an age limit?
No minimum age, but everyone must be able to swim.
Can we book a private trip?
Yes, private group trips are available on request. Just contact us.
